I started college at Michigan State, dropped out my senior year, and volunteered for the draft. I received my commission from OCS at Ft Sill, OK and wound up in a HAWK missile battery in Germany. I took a European Out and bummed around Europe for 6 months before going back to college at Florida State. I met my wife, Suzi, there and we got married just before I started grad school. I started work as a Special Agent with IRS Criminal Investigation in Ft Lauderdale for 2 years and then spent the rest of my career in Tampa, where I retired in '98. Also around that same time, I retired from the National Guard and Army Reserves as a COL with my last assignment as an IG with INSCOM (Intelligence and Security Command) at Ft Belvoir, VA. I began working as a Private Investigator for Holland & Knight, one of the larger law firms with both US and International offices, While in Tampa, I went to school at the University of South Florida and obtained my CPA and CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) licenses. Suzi and I have been married for 30 years and have two sons. Kip, 22, was married this past August and is living in Bellingham, WA where he is going to school for Early Childhood Education. Jeff, 18, is a HS Senior looking to major in TV Production, but hasn't decided which of the 4 schools he's been accepted to, he wants to attend. He's also considering playing soccer in college. Suzi is a teacher with the C.E. Mendez Foundation teaching drug and violence prevention to middle school kids. Most of our time has been spent with Boy Scouts (both Kip and Jeff became Eagle Scouts), Soccer, church activities (Suzi is in the choir, & leads a youth band to mention a few things), vacations, pets (2 dogs & 3 cats), and just trying to keep up with work and household chores.
